ABOUT UNBUSY HOMESCHOOL

Helping Families Create a Gentle, Meaningful Education at Home

At Unbusy Homeschool, we believe homeschooling doesn’t have to feel like a never-ending to-do list.
It can be simple. It can be joyful. And it can fit your family’s values, interests, and pace.

We help parents build homeschools that are:

Relaxed

Free from rigid schedules and overloaded plans

Literature-rich

Centered on living books that inspire curiosity

Secular-friendly

Inclusive resources without religious requirements

Connection-focused

Prioritizing relationships over busywork

Whether you’re brand new to homeschooling or ready to simplify your current approach, we share ideas, resources, and encouragement to help you create a homeschool you actually enjoy.

Our Mission

To empower parents to design a homeschool life that’s unhurried, inspired, and deeply connected—without sacrificing educational depth or quality.

We do this by:

  • Sharing practical guides to simplify planning and teaching

  • Providing living book recommendations and literature-based learning ideas

  • Offering flexible methods that adapt to your family’s needs

  • Creating a supportive community for like-minded homeschoolers

Our Approach

We blend elements of the Charlotte Mason philosophy with modern, secular resources to create an education that’s rich in beauty and meaning—without the overwhelm.

Our core values:

Simplicity over stress

Quality over quantity

Connection over checklists

This means shorter lessons, more time outside, and a steady diet of books, conversations, and experiences that stick with your kids for life.

Who’s Behind Unbusy Homeschool

I’m Sarah, a homeschooling parent who’s learned firsthand that less really can be more.
When we started our homeschool journey, I thought I had to do it all—rigid schedules, boxed curriculum, constant projects.
It didn’t take long to realize my kids (and I) were burned out.

Once we slowed down, embraced living books, and focused on relationships, everything changed.
Now I help other families do the same—so you can skip the burnout and jump straight to the good part.
